Cycled Technologies is leading the Smart Bin narrative

Cycled Technologies is proud to introduce the Cycled Smart Bin, a revolutionary technology that merges cutting-edge artificial intelligence with mobile technology to promote recycling. Our start-up company, based in Abu Dhabi, is working tirelessly to develop innovative solutions that address the growing concern of plastic waste and global warming.

Our Smart Bin is designed to weigh and identify the material being disposed of by the user, whether it be plastic, metal, or glass. The user is then sent a message telling them how much carbon emissions they have saved by recycling their waste. We aim to motivate and encourage people to recycle more by rewarding them for their efforts.

To use the Smart Bin, users need to register their mobile phone number or email address, allowing them to accumulate points on a personal account when they use the bin. Points can be used to enter prize draws, with exciting rewards such as restaurant meals or shopping vouchers up for grabs if the bin is in a mall.

Our goal is to encourage people to be more mindful of their waste disposal habits and to promote recycling. The Smart Bin is just the beginning, and we are continuously working on improving the technology. Our team is currently developing an updated version of the Smart Bin, which will be able to recognise paper and even organic material such as fruits and vegetables.

We are excited to announce that the Smart Bin has already been trialled across the UAE at the DP World Tour Championship golf event in Dubai and the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show at Adnec Marina. We plan to expand our trials to a football club in Skien, Norway, and hope to have a final version that can be commercialised by April, with a target price of around $1,000 (Dh3,673).

At Cycled, we are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment and the community. Our team is made up of individuals who are dedicated to creating a better future for generations to come. We are committed to developing innovative solutions that promote sustainable living and reduce waste, and we will continue to strive towards achieving our goal of a cleaner, greener future.
