Cycled Wins at New York University Pitching Bootcamps
Cycled, a startup focused on sustainable waste management, participated in the StartAD summer incubator program and emerged as the overall winner of the grand prize. The program spanned over seven weeks and brought together eight startups from all three New York University locations – Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, and New York.
The StartAD program was a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs from different locations to come together, collaborate, and learn from each other. During the seven weeks, the participating teams conducted numerous interviews with potential customers, ranging from individuals to corporate and governmental entities. This allowed them to gain valuable insights into the market and refine their business models accordingly.
In addition to customer research, the program focused on helping startups develop their go-to-market strategies and hone their pitching skills. Participants were encouraged to think critically about their business ideas, identify areas of improvement, and create compelling stories to pitch to potential investors.
The projects presented by the participating startups were diverse, ranging from natural language processing and food waste management to sustainable construction, retail, and healthtech. Cycled’s waste management solution, which aims to reduce the amount of waste generated by businesses, was particularly well-received by the judges and ultimately won them the grand prize.
Cycled’s waste management solution involves the implementation of a comprehensive program that helps businesses monitor, manage, and reduce their waste generation. The program provides businesses with real-time data on their waste generation, allowing them to identify inefficiencies and make data-driven decisions to reduce waste. Cycled’s solution is not only environmentally friendly but also financially beneficial to businesses, as it reduces their waste disposal costs.
Overall, the StartAD summer incubator provided an excellent platform for startups to collaborate, learn from each other, and refine their ideas.
