Recycling of snuff boxes with the Cycled SmartBin

collaboration with Swedish Match

Cycled Technologies was spotlighted by EuroSport News at the Odd Ballklub home game against Bodø/Glimt. The spotlight was a result of the collaboration with Swedish Match to facilitate the incentivized recycling of snuff boxes at the Skagarek Arena.

Nine Cycled SmartBins were installed at Skagarek Arena during the last home game of the 2021 Eliteserien season. Since then, visitors have been incentivized to use the machine in sorting their recyclables with a conversion rate of 10 disposed items = 1 Euro directly spendable at snack shops within the stadium. A lucky-dip system has also been used to select the winner of a 500 Euros gift voucher spendable at the official merchandize store of Odd Ballklub available within the stadium.

Incentivized recycling of snuff boxes is made possible by the unique features of the Cycled SmartBins which enables detection of items of any shapes and/or without any visible product barcode. The collaboration with the Swedish Match aims to minimize snuff box pollution across Norway.
